Chemin de Fer ABC’s – Part 1

The general premise of the card game is to be handed cards adding up to twenty-one. Every competitor is handed 2 cards. When a black jack player is handed a nine or lower value card and an Ace they’ve been given a soft hand. When the gambler receives no Ace cards it is called as a hard hand. Once the cards have been handed to every player at the blackjack table, which includes the dealer, every player is given the opportunity to make one of 6 actions:

Requesting another card (Hit): When a blackjack player says hit me the dealer will deal him another card, if the addition of that card makes the value of the hand to exceed 21 the black jack player will have busted and that’s the end of the game, if the card makes the value of the hand to twenty one the blackjack player is the winner and if the total has not yet reached twenty-one they’re still in the game.

Keeping the hand you’ve been dealt: If a blackjack player is happy with the hand they will hold. As soon as this has happened the dealer will display their cards and the black jack player who has gotten twenty-one or the nearest to twenty-one will come away with a win.

Doubling Down: A blackjack player may ask to double down which increases the bet by one hundred percent they have made. As soon as you have taken this action you can only receive one more card. The details of doubling down are often out lined by the blackjack table or casino game rules so before betting make certain you’re familiar with the casino game rules. If you’re gambling at a web casino this is normally very simple.
